You may stumble upon a rock
And think it is just a rock;
Toss it out the window
And grow a fruit among the willows.

Or you may find one by a tree
And toss it in the sea;
And as a chick learns to swim,
A mother bird cries in a whim.

And you may meet someone buff
And assume that they are tough.
But they may already have a hole
Punctured through their delicate soul.

The heart was folded from a 5×5mm piece of trace paper with tweezers. I used the same heart for Heartbeat

Though in Heartbeat it looks bigger because it is shot through a magnifying glass.

For a better idea of scale

    Awesome as always! But better be careful, Mui-Ling! Reminds me of all of those children the ancients used to use to do their jewelry granulation work that ended up losing their eyesight!

  • Haha; thanks for the heads up Amy…….. Well I am controlling myself; making sure that I don’t force myself to complete something when I’m not in the right state – I only destroy my health when I’m at school :P

    Hehe… some time back on facebook a friend commented my work saying “Mui-Ling…don’t you worry that this obsession will blind you and be the end of your career in architecture? LOL” and I replied “I don’t think this is as bad for my eyes as looking at CAD lines on a computer screen all day :P” and she replied back “point taken…”

    Something of this size has more impact than a huge one – a lesson there for when we think our small action has no impact…..it’s wonderful, thank you for always giving me food for thought with your work.

    Beautiful!! . . .

  • Thank you Hugh. And thanks for the tip on the bath ;). So at least my arm and ear feels better now; though my neck pain is still so annoying :(. I’m wondering if a hot shower would be better…
