    this is wonderful Mui-Ling!!
Such unusual media too..very intriguing to look at!

  • Thank you Karin! It all started when I drew on overhead sheets for presentations for grade 11 chemistry. This is the first drawing on acetate I done for an actual artistic purpose. Now I do origami out of acetate.

I’ve framed this one; it looks like this:

Hey Mui-Ling…i love how one thing leads to another!!
it’s really fascinating about the acetate and drawing on overhead sheets
    a very interesting idea
(my hubby is a high school chemistry teacher by the way :))
i love how it has led you to folding acetate for origami….
the picture of the framed piece is great..i would love to see it in person!
I can see the tip of the building on the far right …… it gives this a stained/frosted glass effect
which is most effective and desirable!!! I once painted some elephants on a plane of glass and overlaid this with another plate of glass, framed it and gave it to my sister…when it goes on the wall, the elephants themselves cast a shadow on the wall and you get this really neat 3D effects!!! similar to what you’ve done here, but using glass and paint. I love how you’ve etched this into the acetate…the vase is incredible with the light hitting it :)

oooooh wow this is very eye catching fantastic work

  • Glad you like it. I think it is more interesting to see in real life though as the image is transparent – you can see what it is like in the photo in one of my reply to the comments.
