It has now been almost 5 years since I started sharing my work on Redbubble; and while I had started picking up art long before, Redbubble has been an integral part of my artistic journey. Overtime, since starting on Redbubble, I have expanded my presence online in different places – and in each place I present different content with my followers. After much contemplation, I have decided to launch my own website (note: best viewed in firefox):
But rather than making it into another gallery, it is more of an information hub about me, everything I do, and what I am up to. In Redbubble I have often found myself repeating the same stories in my works, or answering the same questions in comments or bubblemails, and in my website I aim to answer all the frequently asked questions – though the uses of my site may of course extend beyond that in the future. I had often wanted to share more information about myself, my works, my thoughts and philosophies; which I could’ve perhaps done in journals, but it could get lost easily, so my site is the place where I am aim to put all that information in an organised manner.
The development of my site will be ongoing, but in the meantime, I welcome everyone to have a look; read a more detailed biography, about my journey in art: how I started, my struggles, and my life lessons; as well learn in detail how I evolved in the many fields of creativity, how I work, as you read each section of my portfolio – most of which Redbubble has been a big part of hence I mention Redbubble over and over again in different sections (RB has inspired me in different ways, and each section will touch on something different).
There is also an Updates section that will list all the updates to my site, along with all the new works I share. While it is possible to see the newest works on Redbubble from sorting works by ‘Recent’ I sometimes publish a work that I had hidden previously – and that gets missed easily. Every time I do this, I always post on Facebook and Twitter, and now I will also be listing these works in my updates sections. In case anyone missed a hidden work that I published last year, if you go there now, and go to the bottom under 2012 highlights, you will see the hidden works that I published.
It is the beginning for me, and I still wish to be active on Redbubble and elsewhere, so I don’t when I’ll be updating again next or how often, but I hope you like what you see.
Oh and if any links or share buttons are not working properly, or anything at all seems wrong, please let me know; I’ve been working on this all by myself after much self studying!
