Not too happy with the result of the scanning… at first it came out too bright so could not see the shades too clearly, so I decided to darken it.
I did this when I was 17. This was just an attempt to draw a realistic portriat without looking at any sources; I just briefly browsed through magazines to study facial features, but there was no particular model for this drawing.

The jean jacket shading/coloring is especially well done. There’s a great deal to be learned about the structure and shading of the face and neck, and this is a good start. I’d be proud of it too.
