A firefly in my lap
This was during my stay in Japan. On this day there was a typhoon to be expected so instead of going out, my landlady and I visited her friend Ayumi. This is her cat Hotaru; her name means “firefly” in Japanese. Even though it was chilly outside, I felt warm with little Hotaru sleeping in my lap; my little firefly…
Taken on July 15, 2007 with am Olympus FE-220 (Ayumi’s camera).
I also did a drawing:

how very sweet, what’s its name?
Mui-Ling Teh replied
It’s name is Hotaru (meaning firefly). This was during my internship in Japan. Usually I would have gone sightseeing on the weekend, but there was a typhoon expected to come that day, so my landlady and I went to visit our friend instead and played with the kittens she bought recently.

Green. If you go into the other photo at the side (the card), you can see a little hint of green.
