Swimming in Leaves

Swimming in Leaves

Small karps swimming in a pond in Hase Temple (Kamakura, Japan). It was a very hot day; it was one of Japan’s hottest summers (reached 40 degrees celcius), and very bright; hence the reflections.

Love this one—the leaf shadows over the karp makes it very unusual and interesting.

I have some like this…not here in RB.. I may post it one day.
I love ponds and fishes…they are equally poetic and quiet in any place. Their presence is just universal.
Rosa (have a hug Mui.. thanks a lot for your presence..always so kind i my Rose crying gold tears…I can see you do not post too much now…what are you doing lately?...have a kiss)

  • Mui-Ling Teh replied

Thank you dear Rosa. It has been busy, but I am hoping to post something new by the weekend; maybe tonight even. It began with some hassle with getting a visa since I’m going on an exchange in September. Soon after that was Drawing Day; and I spent the whole day drawing. This made me miss a lot of new work over the past two weeks, so the last weekend I dedicated to looking at the new works. Really haven’t done origami in a while so thinking my next upload will be another little creation; I tried to do some new ones last night, but the challenge was too much; or perhaps this activity is more suited for the weekend when I am more calm; we’ll see. Hope you are well. Hugs…

I love the mixture of colours and patterns in this, and the way the fish seem caught in the reflection.
