Releasing the peace

I spent about a day or two on this picture when I was in grade twelve. On short notice I was asked whether I could contribute artwork to the Human’s Rights Festival that was taking place, and I was to draw something which pertained to peace, freedom or rights. I drew a child releasing a dove from a cage because I believe the younger generation is where our hopes lie. They must release the peace which past generations have locked up.

Medium: pencil, pencil crayons and ball point pen
