Spring Beginnings
It’s fall for many of us including myself; though in Australia it’s spring right now right?
Flower folded from a 15×15mm piece of paper (coloured by hand before folding).

I made these some time back, but felt too lazy to take pictures then. But now I have to clear my workspace and decided to take this before putting them away.

I think this is the first time I have seen you work with colored paper Mui-Ling. it looks very nice indeed.

Thanks Don. I have used coloured paper before; but just not in the same way as the flower here; other times I just coloured the paper all in one coloured; or folded using coloured origami paper as I did in Firefly.

I had difficulty with photographing this one; particulary b/c of the butterfly. Sometimes I’d set it up and I thought it looked good, but after taking the pic I wasn’t happy; but I came back to it today and was fairly pleased with this one.

Thank you so much Janis. I must say I’m rather pleased with how much response I’m getting on this piece. It was also a lot of effort to get something I was satisfied with; I’ve tried shooting it at various angles and with different hand positions.

- yes folded from paper in the ancient art or origami but a sculpture of life none the less! (sculpture – representation created by modelling > a miniature version or representation of a grander thing, principal or idea)

I think summer starts in Dec so we are in the middle of spring in Sydney.
We had a lot of rain these days.
