The Blooming, the Withering, and the Everlasting

My origami calendar

Time passes by so quickly; life is so busy. If I were in the centre of time, could I forever enjoy the moment that is now? Moments are like flowers; enoyable while it still exists, then wears away…

Just when I finsh one school project; it’s time to work on another. I cherish moments where I can slowly enjoy my favourite activities…

This clock of mine is old. It doesn’t run on batteries, I have to wind it to keep it ticking.

Taken with an Olympus FE-340 on July 10, 2009.

For a better idea of scale of the centre flowers:

Beautiful work Mui-Ling. Yes, it seems that time does run faster than we would like sometimes. When this happens, just imagine yourself in your last class of the day on Friday. Nothing makes time seem to go slower that that! :)

  • Mui-Ling Teh replied

Unfortunately in architecture school it doesn’t work that way; there is always work to do in the studio. That is why I typically tend to prefer internships to school terms, because when I leave the office, I am actually done for the day, while with school I have homework. Unless you’re trying to say to capture that feeling of the great urge for a class to be over; yes time does seem to go slow during those moments.

I like how this image shows your fingers, in order to appreciate just how tiny it is, and exquisitely made.

  • Mui-Ling Teh replied

Thank you Enivea, that was the intention of my finger; I wanted to show the scale. And thank you for the fav as well.
