Illuminance
It was fascinating already to see a bloomed flower during the cold of winter. What was even more fascinating was how it glowed in the sunlight.
Untouched photo straight from the camera. Taken on December 30th, at Hyde Park (London, UK)

A beautiful Rose, Mui-Ling. I hope you are enjoying Rome. I miss you. xo
Mui-Ling Teh replied
Thanks for the fav Lori, I’m glad you like it. I’m in London now. This reminds me of the times you would go out in the rain to take flower shots; it was rather cold when I took this.

Oh my, keep forgetting it’s winter there, Happy New Year to you Mui-Ling!!

Amazing to see a Flower bloom and yet there where you are it is considered to be the Season of Winter, I stagger in thought only left to imagine…. No make that wish that things could possibly bloom here in during Winter.
Perhaps Spring is springing early Mui Ling Teh
I hope all is well Happy New Year ;O)
Mui-Ling Teh replied
Thank you Jason; so glad you like this. Sometimes the sun is prettier during winter; and I guess that contributed to this illumnated effect. Unfortunately it’s not like that everyday. Today the sky is grey. Happy New Years to you too.

That’s one of the big reasons i want to move back to London, flowers blooming in the winter. For a botanical photographer it’s paradise. Here in New England in the US, we maybe start to see the very first little spring flowers in late March.
Mui-Ling Teh replied
Move back? Were you originally from London? or just stayed there for a long term before? I can see where you get your inspiration from.
mingtees
Nah, from the USA. I lived there for 6 months, and loved it. Want to move back somewhat permanently, but need the papers.
Mui-Ling Teh replied
I’d like to go back too; I could live there permanently… but I think I’m longing for Japan even more.
mingtees
Do you speak Japanese? Unfortunately, i only speak one language, Took a few years of French in school, but couldn’t live in France with what little i know.
Mui-Ling Teh replied
Yeah I speak Japanese; it’s not perfect though and I have difficulty with kanji. I was able to manage living there for 3 months; if I could stay there longer my japanese would probably be much better.
