Sinking Isola Tiberina
It’s been raining like hell here in Rome; so much that the Tiber River is flooding; I can seeit from my apartment! The edges around Tiber Island is now under water; you can see tree tops above the water surface! Apparently the day the weather will get better this coming thursday Dec 18th, 2008; and that’s the day I leave Rome and head for London… geez nice weather come when I leave; but I still try to do do as much sightseeing as I can with the remaining time.

I already am; the Tiber Island was formed out of dirt and gravel collected by the river, and it’s going back to where it came from! Well if that were to happen, the remains of the temple to Aesculapius and the temple to Jupiter, which are already buried under new buildings on the island would be sinking with them.

No body lives there except the spirit of Aesculapius and Jupiter ;). There are hospitals with patients though.

I’m so glad you like it Thelma :D. It’s funny; typically London is known for the rain, and it happened in Rome, and right now in London it isn’t raining – well I just got here, maybe I’ll see the rain later.
