Bloomed from Fingers
A sasanqua flower folded from a 15mm x 15mm square piece. Most difficult thing I have ever folded (even harder than the little crane made by 6×6mm), but easier to photograph.
For a better idea of scale:

Excellent capture my friend! Lovely folded flower! If it is color paper you can do a Selective color then the composition would be more active! Lovely texture on your fingers! You have a lot of patience for detail works!

Thanks my friend. It isn’t perfect, but neither are real flowers :P

this is exquisite Mui-Ling
what patience you have
do you have a special display for them? i think that
they would look beautiful on glass or mirrored glass so you can see them from all angles

I am a huge fan of origami and I have tried mini origami, but never anything that small. Simply amazing!
Mui-Ling Teh in reply to Karin Taylor’s comment, 3 months ago
That a good idea Karin. Sadly enough I only have containers to store these. I have done a lot of craft throuhout my life that my dad gets annoyed at me being a pack rat and tells me to get rid of some of my stuff. I once had a sailboat I made during high school, and I kept it in the family room. Then I began university and studied in another town. When first year was over, I noticed the boat was not in the family room anymore. When I asked my dad where it was, he was like “I don’t know”; I think he threw it away :( If I could afford the extra storage I wouldn’t have to worry about what would happen to the things I made and the paintings I paint…

Thank you Rowan. I haven’t mentioned it in this description because I’ve stated it im my other mini origami shots, but I used tweezers while folding. Maybe not so much in “Born from the hand” as that crane wasn’t that small, though the smallest crane I barely touched with my fingers at all.

wow, it’s just as well these are tiny then Mui-Ling!!!!! lol
dad’s/men…..they just don’t understand :(

That’s amazing!
An art like this, has to be appreciated. I have things that my kids made for me since they were 3-4 yrs. old. Treasures.
But, like Karin said, men they are different in that way.

my goodness Mui-Ling! you rock!!!
was this done with your twisters again? you are so paitient to do this delicate work :)))))))
Rowan, 3 months ago
I had to use tweezers to finish one about the size of “Born from the Hand”. There is no shame in that , I guess. Happy folding!

Mui-Ling Teh in reply to mingtees’s comment, 3 months ago
Hmmm that would be really nice… I wonder where I can find such an opportunity. Thanks for the lovely comment and the favouriting. I too personally like my origami series; perhaps due to my background. I love oriental art, which is why I love your work too.
