St. Petersburg comes alive in spring as everything thaws from the harsh winter near-Arctic freeze. People enjoy relaxing on the shore of Zaiachy Island along the Neva River. This is where the river splits into two creating the Great Neva and the Small Neva. Across the way you can see the golden center dome of St. Isaac’s Cathedral. To the right of it in the foreground is one of the red Rostral Columns which are situated on Vasilevsky Island.

Taken in St. Petersburg, Russia.
