Esquimalt Lagoon is just outside the city of Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. It’s a perfect stop-over for thousands of migratory geese,ducks,swans and other waterbirds on the Pacific Coast flyway. Many of them stay here all year because of the mild climate. Others, like these gulls, are here all the time and find the sheltered protected lagoon waters make a perfect safe haven.
