One of my favourite places is the tiny fishing village of Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia, Canada, about 30 miles south of the city of Halifax. The lighthouse, shown here in the afterglow of sunset, is one of the most photographed and famous places in Canada, visited annualy by thousands of people who come to enjoy the Atlantic Ocean breezes, the huge granit rocks from the last Ice Age, and the village itself. The area is protected from development both because of it’s history and also the unique landscape.
