The Lighthouse at Cape George, on the north shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. First established in 1861, this is the third lighthouse to stand on this spot. It’s 360 feet above sea level, with the Gulf of St. Lawrence just over the edge of the cliff. It was automated in 1968.

    Cape George?
    Love it Jann, just teasing.
I love the misty ocean background as well as the beautiful structure,,,,,,

  • lol! It’s one of those places off the beaten track, away up on a cape that juts out into the Gulf, little fishing hamlets and a lot of woods and wild country. But very pretty and I could see living up there very peacefully and happy. Yet it’s only about an hour drive to the university town of Antigonish and the main trunk highways.

A wonderful misty scene, Jann. Brings back memories of my trip to the Gaspe. A lovely place!

  • It’s pretty similar to the Gaspe, fairly remote and off the beaten track. That was the first time George had been there, after all the years he lived in N.S. LOL!
