South-west Alberta, Canada, on the road from Waterton Lakes National Park to Pincher Creek.
Here the great Canadian prairies abruptly clash with the Rocky Mountains, with a very narrow stretch of foothills, unlike the more gradual transition farther north. We spotted this prosperous-looking ranch on a wonderful expanse of land that seems to extend right into the mountains.

Oh Pam I goofed again..I forgot which image I was talking about.
Trying to do several things at once..it never works, does it??
There was no bush scrambling for this one..lol! Does climbing over a fence and getting close to the edge of the cliff count for anything? haha!

    this is gorgeous Jann!
They sure chose a rolling countryside for the farm buildings, lol. I’d need a chair lift to get to the barn from the house :-))
    Congratulations on your features!!

  • Thanks Vickie, glad you liked it. I agree about the distance to the barn..being a farm girl myself, I’d hate to make that trek every day. I’m sure they’re all mechanized..lol!

Jann this is a gorgeous setting and well captured!

  • Hi Scott..it really is a lovely location, and not too far off a main road. It’s quite a snowy place in the winter but I’m sure it’s gorgeous when the sun shines and the snow is pure white and sparkling!
