Artist's Description

I love trying to get a nice sunset image without the sun, and I was quite happy with this one. I had to wait until after 7 PM when the sun’s last light really illuminated both clouds and the snow-capped peaks of the Olympic Mountains in Washington State. I was standing on the edge of a cliff along the coast of southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The water is the Strait of Juan de Fuca, the channel which runs in from the Pacific Ocean and separates Canada and the USA .
