This is one of my favourite places along the waterfront of Victoria, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The rocky outcrop is a coveted place for picnics, and I’ve posted a couple taken in summer. So when I saw it a few days ago it looked so forlorn I had to take another shot. The table and chair are empty, the Olympic mountains and the Strait of Juan de Fuca are cold, and the sky seems to be warning of another storm yet to come off the Pacific.
But I loved the mood and ambience, so there you are!

What a simply beautiful scene, Jann! A wonderful capture! Love that single chair on the headland! We had “spring” here yesterday and today! It was 10 and sunny this aft! Wheeee! A beauty day, indeed. Unfortunately, it’s back into the “minuses” tonight and for the next while. Sigh. Lovely while it lasted, though!

  • Hi Mike! Many thanks for your kindness! Mom told me about your sudden warmth (she’s in Arnprior). We’ve been up and down like a yo-yo here, and getting a bit tired of the stormy stuff, though it’s great for photo shoots. It won’t be long now and we’ll both be getting better stuff :) Then we can try to capture that picnic table again..haha!

Mom’s in the ’Prior? Grand place! I should get back out there when the weather starts behaving.

  • Thanks Linda, it’s a lovely little spot even on a winter!
