Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, incorporated in 1749, was the first major British bastion in North America. Throughout the years it’s been a centre of commerce,shipbuilding, a naval base, the site of several universities, and home to generations of Haligonians. Their homes reflect a huge variety of styles in architecture, ranging all the way from the 1700’s to the present day.
