It really looked like that! The heavy clouds were almost down to the level of the trees and suddenly they started a steady climb and within a few minutes we could see almost to the top of the mountains. It was quite amazing! There was obviously a lot of wind up there, but very calm down below.
This is a range of the Rocky Mountains within Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada, taken from the road (highway 6) which runs south towards Montana. Sorry, I can’t name the mountain!
