Waterton Lakes National Park, in the south-west corner of Alberta, Canada. The smallest of the Rocky Mountain park chain in Alberta, but also the easiest to get around in, and quite possibly the most beautiful. From the town-site in the park, the Akamina Parkway runs for 16 km. through a variety of beautiful scenery and ends at Cameron Lake. The first time we went there it was overcast, dull and rainy, so a second trip was in order, and this time we had blue skies, sunshine and the ice in the lake was breaking up slowly. Still a bit chilly as it was only the second week of June, 2010.
