Black Cloud and a Pyramid by Jann Ashworth

Currently unavailable for purchase

No matter how many notes I try to keep, some scenes just escape my memory. This is in the Canadian Rockies, and I’m reasonably sure it was in Mt. Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia, Canada, but the exact place and name of the peak is something I can’t recall. Maybe later, and if so, I’ll amend this note.

you must have gone up to that lake drive that we didn’t do due to rain the day we were there. Could this be Emerald Lake in Yoho NP

  • I don’t think there was any lake around there Vickie, and I know we didn’t get to Emerald Lake, it was sort of on the agenda but fell off along the way:)

    dramatic and beautiful!

  • Thanks Linda, the parks usually have signs here and there that give the names of mountains, but if it was there I didn’t write it down :)

What a marvellous capture, Jann. Simply beautiful!

  • This was one of those shots that “just happened”, but I wish I could remember where it was :) The sky looked like a downpour coming and then there was that minute or two of sunlight that was just right.

It is just beautiful and love the dark potentialy storm clouds. Just great capture.

  • The combination of light and clouds only lasted a few minutes, it was one of those lucky breaks that happen now and then :)
