Southern Alberta, Canada, where the prairies suddenly merge into the Rocky Mountains near Waterton Lakes National Park. The area abounds in wonderful views of days gone by, like this old homestead, with horses grazing among the bits and pieces and mountains in the distance. What a lovely place it must have been, with a view like that!

What a beautiful place it is and with the horses there you can just close your eyes and imagine what it was like. The mountains in background.
Yes, if I lived close enough I think I’d try to do something to fix the old place up, it must be great to wake up to that view every day:)

Oh my, let me gaze at this awhile. When we meet again, I want to go on photoshoots with you Jann. This is such a gorgeous image. It includes so much I love, the homestead, the old trees, fence, horses and of course the mountains. I must have this even if only a card :-)))
I was sure you’d like this one Vickie! It’s just down the road from that motel at Mountain View so if you stay there next year you’ll really have a good shoot. Would be great to have one together!

An amazing capture, Jann! What a wonderful view. I could live there, I think.
Isn’t it just lovely? All the elements I love except an ocean..lol! Oh, I could live there too, wish I was a lot closer and also wish we had been able to spend more time around there.
