I have two “Cameron Lakes” that I really love seeing, so I have to be careful of my geography! This one is in Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada. It’s in the mountains of the Akamina Ridge, part of the Rocky Mountains chain, and is about 16 kms. from the Waterton town site, up a winding and very scenic road which ends right at the lake. We visited the lake first on a dull and rainy day, which had a charm of its own, but a few days later decided to go back and see it in full sunshine and clear skies. The ice in the lake was breaking up fairly well, though the air was still quite crisp.
