The Cabot Trail is a world-famous scenic drive which loops around the top half of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, and encloses the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The trail begins and ends at the village of Baddeck, and can be traveled in a day. But to even begin to appreciate it’s beauty and scenery, take at least two days and stop at the many lovely places along the way.
This scene was shot between Cape Smokey and the village of Ingonish, on the eastern (Atlantic Ocean) side of the island. Autumn is spectacular, when the hardwoods burst into full colour, and many tour companies book special trips at that time of year.
