Coming home from a walk along some local trails we came across a group of these wild flowers. I believe the technical name is Erythronium californicum, of which there seems to be many varieties all over North America. Most of them are called “fawn lily” so I’ve used that as the title. They grow in shady areas, in among ferns and bushes. These are on southern Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
