Tiny Harbour at Blue Rocks

Jann Ashworth

North Saanich, Canada

Artist's Description

Blue Rocks, Nova Scotia, Canada, is a tiny fishing village a few miles from Lunenburg, on the south shore of the province. It’s only about 60 miles from the provincial capital of Halifax, on Highway 3 (The Lighthouse Route) or Trunk 103, the limited-access highway. The shore road takes you in and out of many small villages and towns and is the scenic way to go. This photo shows one of the many little coves and rocky inlets which collectively form the sheltered waters at Blue Rocks where boats can be safely moored, away from the open Atlantic Ocean in the background. In the foreground are stacks of lobster traps.
