Floating along on Lake Maligne, Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, is an experience that has to be lived to be appreciated. Especially on a day when the weather is changing by the minute, offering dramatic skyscapes which in turn give ever-changing landscapes. Add the turquoise water of the glacial-fed lake and you really fall in love with this world-famous gem of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

the lighting is beautiful here Jann, the last time I was there it had snowed……….in September! I’ll see it again this summer

  • Hi Vickie..well, this was in early September and we had all sorts of weather on that trip, especially stormy days, but no snow..lol! We’re hoping to get back there again sometime this year..no dates set yet :)

What a beautiful scene, Jann. Wonderful capture – sunlight, clouds, reflections – all work so well here!

  • Hi Mike, that day, the weather literally changed minute by minute..it was so amazing, every kind of light and cloudscapes that you could imagine. Hope we can have the same conditions if we get back again this year :)
