We have this massive plum tree in our backyard. It should be pruned, because it’s really getting so big we need long ladders to pick the fruit. But we haven’t the willpower to cut even one branch, because it’s thousands of blossoms are our own huge beacon of spring, so it will just keep getting bigger every year.

Awesome plum tree, Jann! Glad you’re letting it “run wild”. What beautiful blossoms and what a lovely capture!

  • Hi Mike.. George has been thinking of pruning it for 20 years and never did it yet so I think it’s safe to say it will just keep on getting bigger..lol!

  • Hi Vickie..yes, we keep watching it every year, it’s usually starting to blossom the end of February at the latest..makes us really feel that spring is just around the corner:)
