Lake Maligne is one of the most beautiful features of Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada, and even more so when the weather is a mixture of sunshine, clouds, storm, mist, and everything in between. With wind at the higher elevations moving the clouds along so fast, the scene changes by the minute. I was lucky to catch the sun breaking through and illuminating this massive outcropping of yellow and white rock between the virgin forest and the bare peaks of the Rocky Mountains.

Taken Sept. 4, 2009, with a Sony DSCF828 camera.
