Beulach Ban Falls

Jann Ashworth

North Saanich, Canada

Artist's Description

Beulach Ban Falls is located on the world-famous Cabot Trail, the scenic road which encircles the northern part of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
It’s located at the end of a dirt road, midway between Cheticamp (west coast) and Ingonish (east coast) where the Trail runs cross-country between the two sides of the Island. If your coming from Cheticamp the road will be on your right, near the Big Intervale Campground. The dirt road ends in a roomy parking lot, and the falls are only a short walk from there along a lovely nature trail. The volume of water depends on the time of year, being highest in the spring and early summer. It’s also the start of a 10 Km.(round trip) hiking trail along the Aspy fault line in Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
Taken in October 2005 with a Sony DSCF828 camera.
