We were standing on the shore on the eastern side of Mahone Bay, a large bay of the Atlantic Ocean on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The area has been settled since the mid 1700’s and many lovely old homes and roads were built close to the water. The early settlers were either farmers of fishermen, and often both. This gentleman gave us a cheerful greeting as he cycled past, and the scene just seemed to cry out to be photographed!
