The little fishing village of Blue Rocks is on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, a short way off Highway 3, the Lighthouse Route which follows the coast all the way from Halifax to Yarmouth. It’s a collection of homes and fishing sheds clustered around coves and points of land that face out to the Atlantic Ocean. On this day in late October, lobster boats are anchored in the shelter of reefs which offer some protection from the wind and possible storm that’s looming over the horizon.
