The Aspotogan Peninsula is on the south shore of Nova Scotia, Canada, about 35 miles from Halifax, the provincial capital. It has miles of beautiful beaches, coves and little harbours like this one at North West Cove, a tiny fishing community on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean. Beautiful at any time of year, my favourite time is the Fall, when the surroundings forests are in full colour.

Taken in October, 2005, with a Sony DSCF828 camera.

Looks like a beautiful place, Jann.
    I may have to visit ! :)

  • Hi Stan.. I’m back trying to pop between east and west again..lol! Hey, I even did some from Ontario, just haven’t had the time to devote to it. This is one of my favourite little villages along the N.S. shore..really missed not getting back this year :(((

A beautiful capture, Jann!! I am originally from Newfoundland, drove across Canada and found Nova Scotia to be a beautiful province!!

  • Hi Gail..glad you liked it! George and I did the cross Canada trip in 2006, we try to go back every year for a month or so. This year we planned to go to Newfoundland too,but had to cancel the trip. Trying for next year. Geo.used to go to N.L. many times back in the 60’s to 80’s and loved it..he’s been wanting to get back again so we’ll make it eventually:)

this looks like it would make a peaceful vacation spot

  • Oh yes, it would..all the little villages along that coast are so quiet and the people are so friendly..it’s never crowded and it’s easy to find places where you can just relax and usually be all by yourself.
