Artist's Description

Our tour of the Canadian Rocky Mountain parks was blessed with a mixture of weather patterns which sometimes worked in our favour, and sometimes not. After waiting a few hours for a clear view of Mt. Robson, the premier attraction in Mt. Robson Provincial Park, British Columbia, we finally had to settle for the great lady with a bonnet of clouds.
Because of it’s degree of isolation,it’s the
most prominent mountain in the Rocky Mountain range; it is also the highest point in the Canadian Rockies. It’s approximately 13,000 feet (I found a couple of official references which didn’t agree!) and is a difficult one to climb. Apparently only about 10% of attempts are successful. I loved it from this beautiful stand of trees and a nice grassy meadow!
