Mt. Terry Fox is situated in Mt. Terry Fox Provincial Park, British Columbia,Canada. It’s a small park just outside Valemount, and close to the western boundary of Mt. Robson Provincial Park.
The mountain and park are in honour of Terry Fox, a young man from Port Coquitlam, B.C. who lost a leg to bone cancer. He determined to run across Canada to raise funds for cancer research, but after completing 5,375 kms.,illness forced him to end his run.Terry died on June 28, 1981, but the mountain and park that bear his name will honour him forever.His family, and the people of British Columbia, made the dedication on September 22, 1981.
