The small town of Mahone Bay is situated about 45 miles south west from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It’s one of the oldest towns in Canada, or North America for that matter, having been founded in the mid-1700’s. The row of churches form the most beautiful entry to the town as you come around a curve of Highway 3 (The Lighthouse Route). Each has a history of it’s own, dating back many years to the early days of the settlement. The town is built on the shores of Mahone Bay, which has 365 islands in it, and is itself a part of the Atlantic Ocean. It’s one of the best craft and art centres in Nova Scotia.

Good morning Ian, many thanks..I love Mahone Bay, spend a lot of time there evry time we come back. This one was taken just as you come around the bend of #3 and see them for the first time. Parked by the gift shops on the right and walked across to the waterside. Have so many similar shots it was hard to pick out the best one..lol!
