There are so many beautiful little villages along the South Shore of the province of Nova Scotia, Canada, it’s impossible for me to pick one that I like more than others. This is North West Cove, a tiny fishing village on the Aspotogan Peninsula. Highway 3 (The Lighthouse Route) follows the south shore from Halifax all the way to Yarmouth at the south-west end of the province, but there are a great many side roads that lead to beautiful peaceful places like this one. The fishing boats tie up in the protected cove, safe from the Atlantic Ocean storms. Their colours and those of the houses reflect the individuality of the people who live there.
