The flowers in the wreath were originally planted from seed. Once reaching their full season the flowers were picked and dried for several months and then arranged as a composition. The child was my daughter who posed for me. There was tremendous satisfaction derived from the start to finished project. The pencils were finally layered up to seven times and the work took approximately 40 hours to complete. There is a collection of 5 pictures done in this style. The pencils were Faber Castel and the paper was Bainbridge 2000 Illustration Board.
