One of my favourite places for both photography and painting is a little park on the shores of Patricia Bay, Vancouver Island, British Columbia,Canada. In this painting, the sun hasn’t set but the rays are shining down from the cloud cover. The waters of the bay were very calm and the ships are at a Canadian Coast Guard Base. The scene was in September 2007. The original art is acrylic on canvas. I had not done many landscapes, so it was quite a challenge to capture all the light reflections on the land as well as the water.
