Maligne River

Maligne River is a prominent feature of Jasper National Park, Alberta,Canada. The Maligne is a major tributary of the Athabasca River.
It begins south of Maligne Lake, and heads north, passing under several mountains before emptying into Maligne Lake, where it drains the north end of the lake and then flows onward to Medicine Lake, finally flowing west and entering the Athabaska River. Along the way, it has carved a deep canyon which offers beautiful views of rock walls, potholes and sheer drops into the narrow depths.
Taken Sept.4,2009 with a Sony DSCF828 camera.
