I wanted to say thank you to my fellow Dunedin bubbler, the very talented Anni Morris, for penning this lovely poem to go with my Girl on the Beach piece:
Her footprints disappeared
In the teary mist of evening
Washed away in seconds
In the sea bathed sand.
If only it was yesterday
They were a couple
Two of them
Hand in hand.
Now the scene had changed
Her life a rewritten script.
Memories. empty cinema reels
Her only companion
Treasured red heels.
