Nestled at the foot of the Lomond Hills, the Royal Palace of Falkland is set in the heart of the medieval village of Falkland. It was built between 1502 and 1541 and was the country residence and hunting lodge of eight Stuart monarchs, including Mary, Queen of Scots. The Palace is famous for its beautiful gardens and for the ‘Real Tennis’ court which was built in 1539.
