beautiful puppy, we have these they are called Blue Merles, they have one blue eye and one brown eye, and wonderful natures. Fantastic shot. hugsxxx
Hi Hilary, thank you, this little one is now Mindy, and she is classed as a blue merle koolie . Do you have Koolies over in the UK Hilary ?or are they the Australian shepherd, I believe they often have a bob tail. These guys can also have the two different coloured eyes, and they have the wonderful natures as well.
they are only called blue merles here, but koolie is a lovely name., they are obviously the same breed of dog, with a diggerent name, ours all have long tails . hugsxxx
Hi Hilary, they are certainly different no matter how you spell it…LOL. My friend has been breeding them for over 40 years , and she had one as a small child, so that goes back 60 years, so they have been around here for quite some time I believe it has only been the last ten years or so that they have been discovered so to speak. Before that , generations of farmers and property owners had been breeding them as work dogs, now they are extremely popular for obedience, agility, anf family pets.
