This my entry into the MoonSpiral Mini Challenge in the Bubbler Portraits Group

I don’t think I got the likeness down 100%, but this is Tammy, aka MoonSpiral and she has been Jessica Walker -ized! LOL I chose to use this photo of Tammy:

There was something very magical and primal that leaped out at me from this photo. When I started sketching it, I realized, not only is it the same title, but it has a similar look to a photo of Jessica Walker that I have already done a portrait of! Here’s Jessica’s self portrait:

And this is the colored pencil portrait that I did from that photo:

I chose to run with the same colors and makeup dea that Jessica used, making this a new series! I have fallen in love with this look and these colors so keep an eye out for more in the series! :)

Lynsye this is freakin’ cool!!!! Wow, I am totally blown away. The way you did the fabric in the head wrap is amazing. The crystal ball and the the blackness, I am just in a state of awe girlfriend…!!!!!

  • OH YAY! I am so glad you like it! So excited that you were the first to see it too! :) I had so much fun doing this piece. I’m thrilled with how the fabric turned out…I was actually scared going into coloring that part because I rarely do fabrics in that kind of detail. You had a perfect picture to work with for the fabric though. :) You’ve got me grinning ear to ear from your comment by the way! :)

I recognized this, only I knew it wasn’t my face. But it’s definitely inspired by my makeup. Haha, that’s awesome! I love it. :)

  • Ha! Perfect! And you’re the 2nd one to see it! LOL Thank you, I’m glad you like it. I had so much fun doing your portrait and hers was so similar I just couldn’t resist. When I do colored pencil stuff I LOVE using the super bright and bold colors your photos make it too easy!

Fantastic !!!! So dramatic- I love the addition of the crystal ball and how you used the Tribal make-up theme from Jessica’s work. It’s just pure AMAZING xxxx

  • Thank you thank you! :) Once I got the sketch done, the crystal ball just seemed so fitting. I just couldn’t resist Jessica Walker-izing this piece….I love using bold bright colored pencils and her makeup themes fit with my style so well! :) Glad you like it.
