Triquetra Green by

Prisma Color Pencils and Micron Pen on Bright White paper.

This is the 2nd verson of a tattoo design I have created. The first design is in red and was the first tattoo that I got! I have it on the small of my back. I chose this design so that I would have my protection symbol with me at all times. I wanted to mark my journey down my chosen spiritual path. (The journey is marked by the tribal work) I wanted a reminder of the three fold law and the 3 aspects of the Goddess and myself. My little sister wanted the same tattoo in different colors…this is her design!

ALSO AVAILABLE AS A TEE HERE

The Triquetra has three distinct, yet interlocked points.

Trinity of soul: Physical, mental, and spiritual.

The Triquetra symbol technically represents the 3 aspects of the feminine life cycle, the maiden (the young virgin), the mother (pregnancy and motherhood) and the crone (old age and immense wisdom).

The Triquetra can represent the 3 phases of a woman, but more frequently represents the 3 fold nature. These symbols have three equal sized legs. They were adopted by Christians as the sign for the Holy Trinity.
