Tribal
Original is Prisma Colored Pencil on 8.5×11 bright white printing paper
My entry for the challenge in the Bubblers Portraits Group We were asked to use one of Jessica Walker’s self portraits. I chose to use Tribal The colors in her makeup are just awesome and I love to draw and paint with colors. I’m not as pleased with this as I wanted to be, but it’s been a long time since I’ve done any portrait work. It was nice to do this! Thanks Jessica, for letting us use your photos!

Ohhhh this is wonderful Lynsye! The colours are great and love how you captured her eyes.
Lynsye Medalia replied
Thanks! I love using bright colors and I had forgotten how much I enjoy doing eyes! This was a lot of fun & made me remember some skills I had forgotten about.

I think you did a fantastic job! You nailed her eyes, and the color you achieved is so vibrant!! I want to see more portraits and colored pencils too (sorry to be so demanding).
Lynsye Medalia replied
LOL Crack that whip why don’t you!? :) I am DEFINITELY going to be doing more work like this! I started out doing black and white pencil drawings then moved to colored pencils then got addicted to paint and left everything else in the dust. Doing this reminded me how much I enjoy this type of work. I am so glad you like it! The eyes are my favorite part.
Jessica Walker
Wow this is perfect! I love that you used the same colors as the ones in my photo. ;) And the added earring.
Lynsye Medalia replied
YAY! So glad you like it! I was going to do the FaerieWorlds pic, but the colros in this one really grabbed me. I LOVE bright vivid colors and I just HAD to try to recreate the ones you used in your makeup. I did just a little bit of my own thing…glad you like the tiny earring! :)
