A wood burning 17"wide by 32"long, on applewood with bark on the edges. It is done with a wood burner, and some faint white watercolor paint for the wings and head. Loved the look of this wood, and wanted to do a snowy owl for some time.

This is lovely. Great piece of applewood too. Are you showing your work in any of the art groups? Robyn :)
Robyn, Thank you. It was a good piece of wood. My nephew in Saskatoon, Canada got it.I need to get more involved with a few groups. Will look into that. Answere: no, I’m not showing work. Thanks for the encouragement.
lynnieB, very beautiful owl!
Svetlana, I loved this bird, and had a great time wood burning it. was rather large, 34" accross by 15" wide. It was fun to do because I took my time, and love the majesty and mystery of snowy owls. Thank you for the comment. It means ;a lot to know someone else gets it.
lynnieB, you burning it on a tree, and I thought that cut with a chisel. Very beautiful!!!
