“Tulugaq” is an Inuit word for raven. This is another artwork in my “mini” series of paintings.

tulugaq, raven, crow, bird, animal, wildlife, ink, inuit, nature, lynnette shelley
Having a great love animals, fairytales, and world mythology, Pennsylvania artist Lynnette Shelley fuses these influences into her strikingly unique illustrations. Her artwork strikes a primal chord in many viewers, with almost Jungian associations to the colors and shapes. Her artworks have been likened to images from an undiscovered ancient civilization or culture.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Truly this is fabulous Lynnette, and I LOVE the use of red wine!! How did you manage to get it to stay purply? When I have used red wine it always dries/fades to a soft blue-grey?!!
Hi Alexandra. what paper are you using? This is a rough, cold-press paper. But I also stained it with tea before I put on the red wine so maybe that made a difference.
